Face of the Day – Peach and Faux Freckles

Hi again lovely!

Just wanted to try out something new, a “Face of the Day”-post.

I’ve been feeling a lot more inspired to play around with makeup lately and felt like sharing.

One of my absolute favourite looks to do is a peachy eye makeup and the perfect palette for this is of course the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. I’ve had this bad boy since summer when it was first released in limited edition and it has ever since then been my absolute favourite. I’ve been planning to do a complete review and swatch post on the Sweet Peach Palette so keep a lookout for it!

For this look I used a combination of the shades: Summer Yum and Peach Pit in my crease, Bellini and Just Peachy as all-over lid colours and finally I used Nectar to highlight the inner corner and middle of my lid just a tad.

I’ve not been using false eyelashes as often as I used to and therefore I don’t use black eyeliner as often either, I just think it looks a bit too harsh. However I absolutely love using my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade to create a softer but still sharp cat eye look. When I was blonde I used the colour Dark Brown but has since switched to Auburn to better match my new hair colour. If you want the perfect brush to use with your pomade then definitely consider investing in the Anastasia Duo Brush Nr 12, it’s expensive but it’s a purchase I’ll never regret and I use it every single day.

The pomade is also what I used to create my faux freckles. I’ve always loved the look of freckles and have recently started experimenting with trying to create faux freckles using makeup. I’m still new at it so I need to practice some more before I manage to make it look exactly the way I want it, but it came out okay and I just love the way freckles add to the look.

For foundation I used my BareMinerals Original Foundation in Fair and used my new concealer palette from Makeup Revolution to cover dark circles and any imperfections. You can find a review of the concealer palette here.
For contouring I used my forever favourite contouring palette Shade+Light by Kat von D and the blush is Too Faced Perfect Flush Blush in Candy Glow.

Finally, for lips I settled for using BareMinerals Moxie Lipliner in Liberated all over my lips, just to add a hint of colour to my lips.

I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone and post more makeup looks so expect more of these “Face of the Day” – posts. Hopefully you all like these types of posts as well.

Also if you haven’t, please check out my Instagram and maybe give it a follow. It would mean a ton!

Hugs and kisses!

Emma.

      1. You’re very welcome ☺ I know how you feel, I always have second thoughts about posting my own makeup, but you’ve got nothing to worry about!
