NYX Matte Lip Creams Mini Haul and Review!

Hi lovelies!

I am so excited for today’s post because today we are going to talk about the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams!

I have been really curious about these seeing as I’m a huge fan of matte lip colours and liquid lipsticks.

I would honestly  have gotten more shades of the lip creams but most were sold out, probably because we just very recently got NYX here in Sweden.

The shades I got however are: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Antwerp, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Abu Dhabi and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Sydney.
Apart from the lip creams themselves I also got the NYX Lip Primer Deep Nude.

Antwerp  is this gorgeous pink with coral tones. I’m not really all that into pure pink lip shades  and am definitely drawn more towards nudes and corals so this was a must-have when I was looking through the different shades!

Abu Dhabi is a nude colour with a hint towards peach or orange. Honestly, when looking at the swatches on the website I got them from, I expected it to be a lot darker than this was. It’s still a gorgeous colour though and it reminds me of Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Chocolate Milkshake, at least that is how it turned out on my lips.

Sydney is like I mentioned not at all a shade I would usually go for. It is like liquid cotton candy and super pink! The only reason I got it though is that it was like a cool pink shade and the fact that I thought it perfect for summer!

Here you can see swatches of the colours! These are all swatched on top of the NYX Lip Primer in Deep Nude. The Lip primer itself does not have any colour to it, it’s simply to make the shades of the lipstick pop and stay on longer.

So, first impressions are that they’re not as pigmented as I presumed they’d be. To get a full cover lipstick you have to apply at least two layers. Also, the lighter the shade the more opaque.

However, I really really like the formula which feels like a combo between a matte liquid lipstick and a lipbalm.

This of course also means that it doesn’t stay on as well as a regular liquid lipstick and you will definitely need to reapply it throughout the day.

Overall I’m satisfied with the products, especially when considering the price.

You won’t be able to expect it to be a liquid lipstick, because it’s not. But if you take the product for what it is, it is definitely worth purchasing! If not any of the Soft Matte Lip Creams then at least consider buying the lip primer, it was honestly amazing!

As always, thank you so so much for reading and let me know if you have any questions!
