I hope you’re having a lovely Saturday wherever you are! Seeing at is is my first Saturday off in two weeks, I finally finally finally have the time to unpack all the stuff I got from Sephora during my trip to Stockholm about two weeks ago.
Now I made a promise to myself that I would not touch, smell (yes, smell… I’ll explain in a little bit) or use any of the products I got from Sephora, before posting about it. I failed miserably…
But let’s face it, it was a Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, I mean how could I resist?
Because I got quite a few products I’m going to try and summerize it as well as I can and write a longer post regarding a few of the products that truly deserve some extra recignition.
Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick – Now I’m a huge fan of liquid lipsticks and have tried quite a few brands, but this has got to be one of my absolute favourite formulas. It’s not too runny and it dries super quick, easy to apply a second layer without it looking cakey and it gives a velety, matte look. I got the shade Berlin and it’s a beautiful summery mix between coral, pink and red, just perfect! The only negative thing I have to say about the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is that it’s not as easy to overdraw your lips with as other brands and it doesn’t stay on for quite as long, but just use a lipliner and it’ll easily make it stay on all day!
Benefit Cosmeitics Ultra Plush Lipgloss – I’m not really one for lipgloss, I mostly find them sticky and not really doing much. This was on sale though so I thought I’d give it a shot and I’m so happy I did! I got the shade A-lister and it’s just a beautiful pink, peachy shade and not at all sticky. So if you’re looking for an easy-to-wear, everyday gloss definitely give this one a try.
And as a bonus Sephora also gave me a small gift of their own line of lipglosses. They come in a range of different colours and is great for keeping in your purse those day when you don’t have the time to actually apply something before leaving home in the morning.
Next big, wonderful news is that we finally have the brand Tony Moly at Sephora in Sweden! This has been one of my favourite brands, but just so dang hard to get a hold of here.
I stood for about thirty minutes just browsing the Tony Moly shelf, trying to decide which products to choose seeing as I couldn’t possibly buy all of it (my bag wasn’t big enough…)
Tony Moly Panda’s Dream White Sleeping Pack – Isn’t this adorable? I just could not not buy this. It’s a really thick, almost gel-like moisturizing pack containing both lavender and rosemary to help calm your skin. I can imagine this being amazing both during winter and after a day out in the sun to help your skin regenerate itself.
Tony Moly Egg Pore Nose Pack – I usually don’t have a problem with large pores at all but lately I have been noticing my pores being enlargened, most likely due to stress and applying a full face of makeup everyday. My skin just hasn’t really gotten the chance to rest properly. And let me tell you, they are super effective and was able to properly cleanse out any impurities from your skin. Be sure to use them after steaming your face or having had a hot shower, just to make sure your pores are open.
Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar – This is also one of those products that were just too cute to pass up. They didn’t have too many shades to choose from so I picked #9 Neon Red. I’m not sure I would call it neither neon nor red, it’s more like a hot pink. I’m surprised at the durability though, because this colour truly sticks to your lips. So rather than just a gloss, see it as almost more of a lipstain. Great as a small gift or just for yourself to keep in your handbag.
Sephora Collection Face Konjac Cleansing Sponge – I’m sure we’ve all heard about the Konjac Face Cleansing Sponges by now seeing as they evidently are the next big thing in facial cleansing. I haven’t been able to get a hold of one until now so when I saw this bad boy at Sephora I knew I had to try it to see what all the buzz was about. I used this with my Face Rosa Centifolia Express Makeup Remover from REN Skincare, making sure to really wet it properly beforehand. Final judgement: I love it!
It gives just enough exfoliation without you feeling like you’re rubbing your face raw and it gives you such a clean feeling afterwards. Thumbs up!
And now, finally, the star of it all!
Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Collection – This is such an amazingly gorgeous Palette! I’m not going too do a full breakdown on the product right here as I will be posting about the Palette and some Eye Makup tutorials quite soon. But it is so dreamy, has such a lovely velvety texture and all the shades are incredibly pigmented! I’m so obsessed with it already and can’t wait to use it more!
